Todd Moy gives us a thorough rundown on how to run quick, cheap, usability tests using mechanical turk. This seems like a great idea. My only reservation would be the quality of results. Paying someone a nickel to complete a task, no matter how little time it takes, doesn’t seem like it would ensure high quality. That being said, one is free to set their own prices when creating the tasks. So, I might opt to pay a bit more per task.
