If you attended or watched one of the Live Earth concerts today, you might feel compelled to take action. Don’t let that feeling subside, pick up a copy of The Live Earth Global Warming Survival Handbook. Even if you didn’t go, you should be able to use many of the 77 tips provided in the book. How did I miss this? I should have been well aware of this Nabaztag bunny last year. I will immediately adjust my RSS feeds so I’m get the appropriate level of gadget news and this sort of thing doesn’t happen again.

The latest Wi-Fi bunny, Nabaztag/tag, has a few more features than the original, including a bellybutton and and RFID reader. But, both can do all sorts of cool, internet connected type things. Best of all is the API. What’s better than a programmable bunny? Oh, so many possibilities.

Just one example is this Nabaztag/tag enabled build status notification. It helps a group of software developers know if their current projects are being built without errors. The bunny is in tune with their CruiseControl continuous build system. Good builds mean a happy bunny. Problems in the build process make the bunny sad–and nobody wants a sad bunny around the office.

Joel on Software suggests that fixing Mom’s computer is a most excellent Mother’s Day gift. If you can’t make it to Mom’s for some reason (shame on you), you can do this remotely. To make this easy, Fog Creek Copilot will be free on Sunday. Just go to the site on Sunday and collect your free pass. Once you’re hooked up to Mom’s computer, you might want to use Lifehacker’s list of things to do/fix/clean as a starting point.

If you’ve never heard of Copilot, it is a service and (temporarily installed) piece of software that allows you to control a remote computer. It works through routers and firewalls, so it is great for getting though to PCs on a home network. Learn more on Fog Creek’s Site.

There is still enough time left to place a holiday order for Why Mommy is a Democrat. Take a look at the sample pages to get a feel for what this “different kind of children’s book” is all about. Pay special attention to the story unfolding in the background. It seems to follow a less fortunate fellow and his brief encounters with a couple of fat cats, their lap dog and their son (a recent Yale grad).

This is going to be the bed time story pick for 2007!

Since the holiday buying season is fast approaching, I thought I would point out this handy NOMAD portable silverware set. Now, order up a couple traveling silverware sets of for that special chowhound in your life.

stamp mugsStamp mugs offer an alternative to those boring, circular coffee rings that result when jittery adults can’t keep all of their coffee in the cup. The 59 dollar price tag (per pair) is a bit dear, but isn’t being on the bleeding edge of stain producing technology worth it?
