Engadget’s RSS feed had a little something extra today. Each post included a link to the feed’s sponsor. We’ll surely see other sites doing this as more ad sponsored sites offer RSS and more people start taking advantage of the feeds.

Truth be told, I’d rather have a full text RSS feed with a link to a sponsor’s site than an unsponsored excerpt that requires clicking through to the site to read the entire story. The RSS feed could also carry an unsightly banner ad. So, given the choice, most people would probably prefer (mostly) unobtrusive text links.
