Amazon announced that they are now backing their simple storage service (S3) with an Service Level Agreement (SLA). Personally, I trust that Amazon’s services will work as advertised even in the absence of an SLA. But, not everyone agrees with this opinion. So, the presence of an SLA should make many people more comfortable about using S3 for production applications.
