I’m a little late to the game on this one, but I thought I would post it anyway. Astroland has been sold and it looks like the coming 2007 season will be the last. Thankfully, The Cyclone was not part of the deal. Hopefully it will continue to operate for many years to come.

It looks like the changes that will bring about the new Coney Island are starting to happen at a fairly rapid pace. If you have not experienced a day or evening at Coney Island, next year might be your last chance to see Coney Island in all its gritty splendor. Don’t miss out!

By the way, Coney Island blogger Kinetic Carnival does a great job of tracking these changes. If you have any interest in what is going on out there, add Kinetic’s feed to your reader.
